My company Hike Korea is an External Activity Provider for Duke of Edinburgh Award, Adventurous Journeys, for International Schools in South Korea. I recently completed the Level 2 Delivering the Award Workshop and take whatever other courses I can as an external activity provider. The hiking journeys are separated into Bronze 1N/2D, Silver 2N/3D, and Gold 3N/4D of backpacking. All of them at different locations in Korea. The picturesque routes come with custom maps and course their ways through mountains and villages in the provinces of Jollanam-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do in South Korea. They are for middle, high school, or adult ages. Depending on the numbers participating, the hiking courses have options for tenting or local accommodations. They are tough yet enjoyable routes that can provide achievable results for students participating seriously in Duke of Edinburgh Adventurous Journey’s.

INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS
North London Collegiate School, Jeju Island.
Since 2019 I have been lucky enough to have worked with students and teachers from this school located on Jeju island. In 2020 we had to postpone any Duke of Edinburgh AJ due to covid. But in early 2021 we managed to continue with the DofE. The bronze, silver and gold medal adventurous journeys are conducted in Baeka-san area of Hwasun-gun, the Nakdong river in Andong-si, and Sobaek-san National Park. I am always scouting for more locations. In 2023 and 2024 NLCS continues to work with Hike Korea on developing outdoor education in Korea.
North London Collegiate School, Singapore.
In April 2024, NLCS Singapore participated in a Silver Medal Adventurous Journey with NLCS Jeju.
Busan International School.
Currently participating in bronze medal adventurous journeys and branching into more bronze and silver medal AJs, next year.
British Education Korea, Seoul.
Did a bronze medal AJ during the corona period and are back again this year in 2023 for another bronze medal expedition and a bronze and silver sketched in for 2024.
British International School Hanoi, Vietnam
In 2017, they were the first international school to approach me for this work. They came to Korea each year and completed three Gold Medal adventurous journeys on the tough Nakdong-jeongmaek region in North Gyeongsang-do province.
Chadwick International School, Incheon.
I have helped prepare some of this schools very unique outdoor hiking programs.
Seoul Foreign School.
In 2016, I conducted a separate outdoor summer hiking experience for the Seoul Foreign School in the Jiri mountain area.
