Sample Itinerary
Day 1: Meet at Namwon KTX station. Hike Hwangseoksan. Stay at Raon Hotel in Hamyang. Eat locally.
Day 2: Morning tour of Hamyang. Hike Hwangmaesan. Eat large traditional Korean Jeong-sik dinner. Stay at Raon Hotel in Hamyang.
Day 3: Drive to and hike Udusan. Stay at Natural Springs in Gajo-myeon. Eat local beef dinner.
Day 4: Visit Haeinsa temple and explore local trails of the scholar Choi Chi-won. Or option to climb Gayasan. Large mid afternoon lunch. Drop off in Daegu or return to Namwon.
Only day packs are required for the walking and hiking sections. Full inventory can be supplied.

Gyeongsangnamdo province is located in the southeastern part of South Korea. Outside its busy main centers of Busan and Daegu, lies many charming and fascinating peaks. The areas we stay and visit are steeped in legends of famous confucian scholars who participated in the democratization of Korea by challenging the last dynasty’s royal authority. Come and see the less touristy parts of this wide and historically significant province with me. A genuine travel experience.
We stay at western style hotels so you can get a good nights rest. There is also an option for a sleepover at a Buddhist temple if requested. Saunas can be located everyday.
We eat delicious fresh Korean food and enjoy beautiful hikes at new locations. The hikes can be challenging or easy. I know trails to suit your abilities.
